Do you recommend buying whole bean or ground coffee?
We recommending buying whole bean coffee! Whole bean coffee stays fresh much longer than pre-ground coffee.
How long is coffee fresh?
Freshly-roasted, whole bean coffee is generally considered fresh for the first month after roasting and packaging, depending on many factors. Exposure to oxygen is the cause of coffee going stale, so we package coffee quickly to minimize exposure time and maximize freshness. Once roasted the coffee beans will degas, which means that they release CO2. If the beans are packaged during the early stages of this process, then the CO2 will fill the bag and naturally prevent additional oxygen from coming in contact with the beans and making them stale, thus extending the life of unopened, whole bean coffee.
Why does this coffee cost more than my local grocery store?
At Stripling Coffee, we use only specialty-grade beans and roast to order. Your coffee is shipped straight from our roaster to your door, ensuring it arrives at peak freshness. While our prices can’t match mass-produced grocery coffee, you always receive something far better — high-quality, freshly roasted coffee that’s worth every cup.
Is this coffee ethically-sourced?
All of our coffee is ethically sourced! While some of it is certified Fair-Trade Organic, not all of it will have that certification. However, the distributors we work with partner with coffee farms to ensure fair prices for the farmers. Some distributors will negotiate better pricing than the Fair-Trade standard so that farmers can get a better price without having to go through the Fair-Trade certification process.
Why is my favorite coffee out of stock?
As coffee is an agricultural product, harvesting seasons dictate availability of coffee. Although we try to stock our products in advance to make it through the end of one season and the next harvest,sometimes products sell out before the new crop has been processed and shipped to distributors in the United States. In that case, we will be out of stock until our distributors have received that crop so that we can restock. Rest assured that we monitor availability so that we can reorder as soon as the new stock has arrived.
Do you ship internationally?
We do not currently offer international shipping with the exception of the Army Post Office (APO) or Fleet Post Office (FPO).
Do you offer local delivery?
If are in the Rockdale or Newton county area, please reach out to us! We will consider local delivery on a case-by-case basis.
Do you sell in bulk?
We do! We offer a 5lb bulk option, but if you need something different then please reach out to us and we can work with you on a customized solution to meet your needs. We would love to hear from you!
Do you offer any discounts?
We offer discounts for subscriptions and we also offer discounts for military personnel, both active and veterans. Please email us at info@stripling.coffee to confirm your military status and we will give you 10% off of your orders with us.
